I see what you're trying to do here, but using that logic, I can easily say that Goku only meant Shin Buu was only stronger than his SSj form. You don't learn a rival boost. You're told of it.

It's out of Character for Goku to compare someone to himself and it not to his max form. As for the rival boast comment, that was the first question that popped in my head.

Like Goku knew he could defeat Fat Boo, he even lied to The Namek about it, which was in fact vital information too.

My power difference between gogeta and vegito is the same difference between buuhan. I have gogeta > buutenks, but not buuhan. SSJ gogeta= base vegito. I apologize. DBM did have LSSJ Broly going up against SSJ3 Vegitto, but I was referring to how they had Broly's energy continuously rising throughout the fight. Without the ability for him to constancy increase his strength, my previous arguments were almost completely rendered invalid. Something I would like to point out though, is that Broly is genetically different than any other Saiyajin, specifically when it comes to his Super Saiyajin forms. The normal multiplier for SSJ2 and SSJ3 wouldn't be the same as LSSJ2 or LSSJ3. We don't know how much of a difference it would make as a multiplier, but it is possible that his power could over come Gogeta's in his LSSJ3 form. But only on the grounds that his Legendary multiplier changes exponentially. Because of his Legendary genes, the growth from his LSSJ form to his LSSJ2 form might be 100x (random number, but I'm trying to show a theory) the normal SSJ-SSJ2 multiplier, while the LSSJ2-LSSJ3 might be 100,000 (another random number, but it shows exponential growth) times more powerful than the usual SSJ2-SSJ3 multiplier. It's just a thought, but you can't really disprove it because it was never stated (to my knowledge) how Broly's Legendary form affects the higher SSJ transformations.
